Dr. Magareth Oluwatoyin Abraham

Hi, I am Dr. Magareth Oluwatoyin Abraham

seasoned Educational Management and Peacebuilding Consultant

Dr. Magareth Oluwatoyin Abraham is a seasoned Educational Management and Peacebuilding Consultant with over 20 years of foundational experience across classroom teaching, instructional leadership, and senior school administration.

Her professional journey began in secondary education, where she spent 17 years as an Educator and Vice Principal (Administration) at Livingstone College of Arts and Science, Ibadan. In that executive role, she directed institutional workflows, supervised academic and non-teaching staff, monitored curriculum implementation, and spearheaded capacity-building initiatives to elevate academic standards.

Recognizing the critical need for systemic professional development and strategic staffing, Dr. Abraham established an Independent Educational Consultancy Practice. Through her firm, she designs and facilitates targeted workshops for educators and school proprietors, enhancing pedagogy, classroom management, and overall institutional governance, while providing specialized recruitment services to source, vet, and onboard qualified teaching talent. Expanding her executive impact, she currently serves as the Head of School at Binta International School Ibadan, balancing her leadership role with an active weekend consultancy practice dedicated to equipping school communities with advanced governance and instructional frameworks.

Her close engagement with school communities exposed complex interpersonal and structural conflicts that disrupted learning, prompting her to pursue a Master of Arts in Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Ibadan to address these dynamics scientifically.
This synthesis of educational management and peace studies birthed the Peace in Education Initiative (PIEI).
As Convener, Dr. Abraham leads PIEI in executing specialized programs that train students, educators, administrators, and parents in peacemaking, emotional intelligence, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms to institutionalize non-violent conflict resolution within schools.

Dr. Abraham holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Educational Management, an M.A. in Peace and Conflict Studies, an M.Ed. in Educational Administration and Planning, a B.Ed. in Business Education, a Graduate Diploma in Corporate and Public Administration from ICSAN, and a Diploma in Computer Studies from NCC Manchester. Continuing her pursuit of academic excellence, she aims to pursue a degree in Law as her next strategic milestone.

An author and researcher, Dr. Abraham has published in peer-reviewed journals and international conference proceedings on sustainable development, peaceful school climates, multiple intelligences, and educational leadership.
She maintains professional memberships in the Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP), Educational Dialogue, Ghana (EDUDIA), and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN).
